Job summary

Caring Hands Homecare in Hoboken, NJ is seeking a Home Care Aide to work with patients in their homes, following individualized care plans, and building trusting relationships. You will be detail-oriented, organized, and communicate clearly to support patient well-being.

Prior home health or hospice experience is a plus. Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, maintaining records, and supporting patients’ physical and cognitive health through engagement.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Home Health Aide program.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of professional experience.
• Driver’s license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities such as moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles
• Care for patients by changing bed linens, doing laundry, cleaning the home, or assisting with personal care
• Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with the supervisor
• Build relationships with patients by conversing or reading aloud to help keep them mentally healthy and alert
• Give medications and immunizations
• Engage patients in exercises or other activities
