Job summary

One You Love Homecare South Charlotte is seeking a compassionate caregiver to provide non-medical in-home support, enabling clients to maintain independence and dignity.

You will offer companionship, help with daily living activities, assist with meals, light housekeeping, and transportation as needed. Training, flexible scheduling, and a supportive team back you.

Prior caregiving experience and reliable transportation are preferred; applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 and ability to read and follow written instructions.
• State certification and license in good standing, if applicable.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license where required for client transport.

Responsibilities

• Personal care and assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs/IADLs).
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Prepare and serve meals, including feeding assistance if necessary.
• Assisting the client in self-administration of medication.
• Light housekeeping and laundry as appropriate.
• Ensure safety and proper use of equipment; report changes to supervisor.
• Provide transportation to doctor appointments, activities, and shopping.
• Adhere to documentation and care procedures.
• Report client condition to the care coordinator or supervisor.
