Job summary

Home Helpers Home Care of Pacific Palisades, CA is seeking a reliable Home Care Aide to support clients in the Santa Monica area with companionship, daily tasks, and safe, respectful care.

As a Home Care Aide you will assist with light housekeeping, meal prep, transportation, and medication reminders, while following established care plans and communicating updates to the team. Flexible hours and a supportive environment are offered.

Qualifications

• HCA required
• Background check required
• Negative tuberculosis test required
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working independently with clients
• Able to follow care instructions and established service plans
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between client assignments
• Flexible availability
• Previous caregiving experience is helpful but not required

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and positive social interaction
• Assist with everyday household tasks and light housekeeping
• Prepare meals and help with basic meal planning
• Provide transportation assistance and help with errands
• Provide medication reminders as directed by the client's care plan
• Help clients maintain comfortable, organized living spaces
• Follow established care plans and communicate important client updates
• Complete accurate care notes and other required documentation
• Encourage client independence while providing dependable support
