Job summary

SHALOM FAMILY CARE, LLC is seeking a Home Care Aide to work directly with patients in their homes under one-on-one care plans. You will provide personalized, compassionate care, build genuine relationships, and maintain a healthy home environment with strong communication skills.

Prior Home Health or Hospice experience is a plus. You should have reliable transportation and be able to meet the physical demands of assisting daily activities and mobility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Proven experience as a caregiver is preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid (CPR).
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Respectful, compassionate, and trustworthy demeanor.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrates strong ethics and reliability.
• Physical endurance to assist patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities such as moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles.
• Care for patients by changing bed linens, doing laundry, cleaning the home, or assisting with personal care.
• Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with supervisor.
• Build relationships with patients by conversing or reading aloud to help keep them mentally healthy and alert.
• Do the clients shopping or accompany them when they shop.
• Engage patients in activities.
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the client (when they are able).
