Job summary

Town of Greenwich, C is seeking a non-medical home services provider to assist clients with activities of daily living in a home setting. Reports to the Supervising Homemaker. This role includes companionship, meal prep, light housekeeping and shopping assistance to ensure daily needs are met.

Requirements include a High School Diploma and one year of relevant experience, plus a valid driver’s license. The position emphasizes time management, record keeping and ability to follow instructions

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, plus one year of homemaker/companion or home meal/household experience.
• Knowledge of housekeeping, laundry and food preparation methods.
• Ability to operate household cleaning equipment.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions and accept supervision.
• Proven time management to complete assigned visits.
• Basic office procedures and records maintenance ability.
• Physical ability to perform job functions.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assists with household tasks essential for daily living.
• Provides companionship.
• Reports changes in client condition and needs to Supervising Homemaker.
• Provides dressing, grooming and hygiene assistance.
• Provides shopping services including grocery and pharmacy.
• Prepares and serves meals and/or snacks.
• Light housekeeping, cleaning and laundry services.
• Provide stand-by bathing assistance as needed.
• Performs clerical duties such as visit records, filing and phone coverage.
• Performs other related work as required.
• Supports Town policies and philosophies.
