Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Six months experience as an HHA/PCA in health care (in homes or facilities) and completion of a state-approved course.
• Competency Evaluation meeting state licensing requirements for HHA.
• Sympathetic attitude toward care of the sick and ability to meet job demands.
• Current CPR certificate is recommended.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (hygiene, ambulation, eating, dressing).
• Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping.
• Assist with use of mobility devices and ROM exercises as instructed by a nurse.
• Take vital signs and monitor health indicators.
