Job summary

Fairfield Care Community is seeking a Housekeeping Aide to maintain cleanliness and a sanitary environment in a healthcare setting. You will clean resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas, following schedules, and restock supplies while ensuring safety and infection control standards.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and strong communication with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• Healthcare/long-term care or hospitality experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas according to schedules and procedures.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect floors, furniture, and surfaces.
• Dispose of trash and hazardous materials following proper waste protocols.
• Replenish supplies in restrooms and common areas.
• Change bed linens and transport soiled linens to laundry area.
• Follow safety and infection control protocols; wear PPE as needed.
• Interact with residents in a friendly and respectful manner.
• Communicate cleaning supply shortages or equipment issues to supervisor.
