Carriage Services in the United States seeks a Funeral Director/Embalmer to join our team. You will provide meaningful funeral services, coordinate with families, and ensure regulatory compliance in documentation and care.

This FT role requires a valid Funeral Director/Embalmer license, at least two years of experience, a clean driving record, and willingness to engage with the community. Compensation ranges from $33 to $41 per hour, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Funeral Director/Embalmer.
• Valid Funeral Director/Embalmer License and/or ability to obtain licenses in the license state.
• Willingness to participate in growing market through community involvement; and
• Valid state issued driver’s license in good standing with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Meets with client families to listen and arrange personalized memorial services.
• Ensures timely and accurate document filing per laws and regulations.
• Conducts and attends services regularly.
• Maintains open, accurate client files and communication.
• Performs company training as provided.
• On-call/first call with embalming skills at care center locations.
• Uses proprietary software for merchandise options, contracts, and forms.
• Leads staff to maintain high professionalism and service levels.
• Participates in events with community groups/organizations.
