PetVet Care Centers in Port Jefferson Station, NY is seeking a compassionate Veterinarian to join our team. You will provide high-quality medical care, perform exams, diagnostics, surgery, and work with a skilled team of veterinarians, technicians, and staff.

We value client education, clear communication, and a collaborative culture. NY-licensed or eligibility is required, with 1+ year of practice and a commitment to compassionate care. Relocation and signing incentives are available.

Qualifications

• DVM or VMD from an accredited college.
• Current NY State veterinary license or eligibility.
• DEA registration must be obtained and maintained.
• Minimum 1+ years of veterinary practice experience.
• Excellent client communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups.
• Client communication and education.
• Performing diagnostic procedures and surgery.
• Maintaining accurate medical records; Pharmacy duties and controlled substances protocols.
• Promote teamwork and staff efficiency.
• Collaborate with Hospital Manager on weekly priorities and expectations.
• Monitor hospital protocols from intake to discharge.
• Attend daily rounds when possible to uphold high standards.
• Participate in practice management updates and training.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Management.
