Abound Health in Sharon, PA is seeking a Driver / Transportation Specialist to provide safe, reliable transportation and light caregiving support for individuals with IDD. This part-time role focuses on transporting clients to day programs and community activities with predictable hours and weekly pay.

The position offers paid onboarding and training, opportunities for advancement, and a team-oriented environment. Candidates must be 18+, hold a valid driver’s license, and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks.
• Willingness to assist with light personal-care needs when necessary; lifting may be required.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is not required; paid training provided.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport individuals to and from day programs, appointments, and community activities.
• Assist passengers entering and exiting the vehicle as needed.
• Provide light to moderate caregiving support (hygiene reminders, minimal hands-on assistance).
• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the vehicle.
• Communicate with Abound team members, families, and external parties as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Participate in paid onboarding and ongoing training.
