Hammer & NER is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide daily living support to individuals with IDD in Minnesota. You will help with personal care, household tasks, and community activities while promoting safety and independence.

Responsibilities include driving to activities, adhering to regulations, and maintaining accurate documentation. Strong teamwork, reliability, and a compassionate approach are essential for success in this role.

Qualifikationen

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work with people of diverse abilities and backgrounds.
• Willingness to assist with activities of daily living including bathing and toileting.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle may be required.
• MN DHS background study clearance required and ability to pass training.

Aufgaben

• Assist with daily living skills including personal hygiene, medication administration, and daily chores.
• Safely drive company car or van to activities and appointments and support community participation.
• Report accidents, injuries, and illnesses and follow emergency procedures.
• Provide advocacy and support to protect residents’ rights and maintain confidentiality.
