Job summary

Beacon Specialized Living is seeking staff to provide compassionate, compliant care in a residential setting. You will follow person-centered plans, ensure safety, and support Individuals with daily goals and activities.

Your role includes documenting care, administering medications, supervising routines, and maintaining a clean, orderly home. You will collaborate with DHS and regulatory bodies as needed, upholding BSLS Core Values.

Responsibilities

• Always ensure compliance with company and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Set positive examples for Individuals at all times.
• Adhere to person-centered plans and behavior plans as written for each Individual.
• Provide opportunities throughout the day to help Individuals meet their goals.
• Teach groups to follow activity programs and encourage individual attendance.
• Provide a safe and quality setting free from harm while upholding Individuals' rights.
• Create a space of trust and positive relationships with all Individuals.
• Protect Individuals from abuse and/or neglect and report any occurrence to appropriate entities.
• Maintain and protect the confidentiality of all Individuals and follow house guidelines.
• Cook meals as necessary based on food specifications and documentation.
• Understand the process for food supply and storage and transport Individuals to appointments.
• Utilize Individual funds to help budgeting and complete required documentation before end of shift.
• Assist with supervision of laundry and supervise bedroom cleanliness per house guidelines.
• Ensure the home site is clean and inspection-ready at all times.
• Remain awake and available in homes requiring 24/7 care.
• Administer medications as needed and provide hand-off communication to next shift staff.
• Cooperate with Beacon Specialized Living, DHS, or other regulatory bodies during inspections or inquiries.
• Perform other duties as assigned and align with BSLS Core Values and Mission.
