Abound Health is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver in Allendale, NJ to provide compassionate daily living support for individuals with IDD. Duties include helping with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support, while promoting independence and growth.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks.
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary.
• Lifting may be required, depending on client needs.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is not required; paid training provided.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation and hygiene.
• Support community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Participate in paid onboarding and ongoing training.
