Job summary

Hireology is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide compassionate, hands-on support for clients in Newport, NC. You will assist with personal care, meals, and daily living activities within a structured, supportive setting.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a valid North Carolina driver’s license, and being 21 or older. The shift schedule includes alternating weekends and two daytime windows, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• North Carolina Driver's License required.
• 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Assist and monitor clients with dressing, bathing, toileting, and other self-care tasks.
• Assist with meals and ensure family-style dining during meals.
• Support clients with housekeeping tasks including clothing care, cleaning, and yard work.
• Assist with meals and nutritional supplements.
• Assist with prescribed medication administration without error.
• Follow prescribed diet orders and use adaptive equipment as directed.
• Participate in behavior programs, data collection, and safety procedures.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary team communications as directed by supervisors.
• Transport and monitor clients in company vehicles as needed.
• Support clients during community outings and school/day program activities.
