Job summary

Bentley Commons at Lynchburg is seeking a friendly dining services aide to help create a welcoming dining experience for residents. You will greet residents, take orders, serve meals, clear tables, and assist in the dish room in a climate-controlled, indoor setting.

Ideal candidates enjoy working with older adults, have strong customer service skills, and can work as part of a team. Prior food service experience is helpful but not required, and reliability is essential.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents warmly and provide friendly, attentive service.
• Set and prepare dining room tables before meals.
• Help residents find comfortable seating.
• Take meal and beverage orders.
• Explain available menu options when needed.
• Serve meals, beverages, desserts, coffee and tea.
• Refill water and offer additional servings.
• Clear and reset tables between meals.
• Help keep the dining room clean, organized and welcoming.
• Assist in the dish room, including operating the dishwasher and putting away clean dishes.
• Safely store and return walkers and other mobility devices.
• Attend required meetings and in-service training.
• Work cooperatively with residents, families, visitors and coworkers.
• Complete other dining service duties as assigned.
