Job summary

Platinum Communities is seeking a Dietary Aide to support the Dietary Supervisor and Cook in preparing, serving, and cleaning up meals for residents in an assisted living environment.

You will help maintain a clean, sanitary dining area and assist residents with meals while upholding HIPAA and company policies. This role emphasizes compassion, teamwork, and respectful resident interactions.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 14 years old.
• Ability to read, speak, and write in English.
• Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and occasional extra shifts.
• Must have or be willing to obtain CBRF/RCAC certifications, if required by the community.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize duties in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain composure and professionalism with elderly residents.

Responsibilities

• Set up and clean the dining room before and after meals.
• Assist with basic meal preparation and meal service according to the planned menu.
• Help feed residents who need assistance, following safe feeding practices.
• Practice and enforce proper sanitary food handling techniques and safe work habits.
• Clean kitchen surfaces according to sanitation schedules.
• Attend and participate in required meetings and in-service training opportunities.
• Follow community policies, procedures, and emergency protocols.
