• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• On-the-job training provided; previous dietary aide experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation.
• Understanding of dietary restrictions and nutritional requirements.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; team collaboration.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation, portioning, and serving meals per menus and guidelines.
• Ensure meals are served at correct temperature and appealing.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in kitchen and dining areas.
• Assist with setup and cleanup of dining areas; wash dishes and equipment.
• Serve food to residents, accommodating dietary restrictions.
• Monitor and record food and fluid intake.
• Assist in inventory management and restocking supplies.
• Participate in training of new staff and ensure safety practices.
• Communicate dietary concerns with residents, families, and staff.
• Attend meetings and contribute to meal planning and special programs.
