Job summary

Ciena Healthcare seeks a Dietary Aide to join Autumnwood of McBain in Michigan. You will support daily food service operations, assisting with meal preparation, delivery, and sanitation to ensure residents receive nutritious meals in a clean and respectful environment.

Responsibilities include preparing items per recipes, handling trays, and maintaining equipment and workspace safety. Prior experience in institutional food service is a plus; high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to read and follow diet cards and portion guidelines.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • Meets all state and federal background check requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Handle and store all food per procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Assist with food preparation as directed.
  • Prepare items according to recipes and safe handling practices.
  • Operate food prep equipment as directed.
  • Set up and maintain trays and meal delivery.
  • Assemble diet trays per residents' diet cards.
  • Deliver nourishment and snacks as scheduled.
  • Maintain cleanliness of dishes, equipment, and workspaces.
  • Report equipment issues promptly.
  • Assist with survey training and respond to surveyors.
