Job summary

Midwest Health, Inc. is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in the kitchen before, during and after meals, and to keep equipment, utensils and food plates clean and orderly.

You will follow community policies, serve meals, prepare between‑meal nourishments, assist with daily cleaning, and comply with safety and infection control rules to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff. A positive attitude, ability to read, write and understand English, and basic computer skills are required;

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must have basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• The Dietary aide assists in the kitchen area prior to, during and after meals are served; keeps equipment, utensils and food plates clean and orderly.
• Comply with the Community’s personnel, safety, and corporate policies and procedures.
• Assist in serving meals and pouring beverages; prepare and serve nourishment snacks.
• Follow safety regulations and infection control policies; maintain a clean and safe department.
• Report hazards/accidents to supervisor; lift and carry up to 50 lbs as required; may work beyond normal hours.
