Job summary

Bakersfield Behavioral Healthcare Hospital is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to support patient meals in our hospital kitchen. The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid Food Handler’s certification, with CPR certification preferred or obtainable prior to start.

Experience in hospital or large facility kitchens is beneficial. We offer competitive pay starting at $23.00 per hour, annual merit increases, and a comprehensive benefits package for eligible full-time staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain before start.
• Food Handler’s certification required or to be obtained prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Assist cooks and Kitchen Manager in preparing patient meals.
• Read, convert and adjust recipe measurements as needed.
• Ensure compliance with patient dietary orders and serving schedules.
• Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Meet deadlines within a rigid serving schedule and maintain food safety standards.
