Job summary

Regency Gresham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Dietary Aide to prepare meals for residents, plate food, and ensure clean and safe dining services. You will assist with food prep, maintain infection control, and plate meals while communicating with residents and families in a caring environment.

Ideal candidates read, write, and speak English, can lift up to 40 pounds, and demonstrate compassion for the senior population.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds.
• Read, write, speak and understand English.
• Have compassion and interest in working with the senior population.
• Maintain a clean, neat, comfortable, and safe demeanor.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Support dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for residents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food for residents and fill requests.
• Plate food, wash and sanitize dishes.
• Ensure condiment and beverage containers are clean and filled.
• Assist with food preparation as needed.
• Maintain infection control standards.
• Relate and communicate appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other employees.
