Job summary

Serene-Health-Services is seeking a dependable Dietary Aide to join our team in a healthcare setting. You will assist in meal preparation, service, and cleanup while ensuring residents receive nutritious meals in a clean, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous food service, dietary, restaurant, healthcare, or long-term care experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25-50 pounds throughout the shift.
• Must be dependable and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion food items according to menus and dietary requirements.
• Assist with meal tray assembly and meal service.
• Deliver meals and beverages to residents or patients as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, dining, and food preparation areas.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Stock food, supplies, and inventory items.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
• Assist cooks and dietary staff with food preparation tasks.
• Properly store food and monitor temperatures according to regulations.
• Provide courteous and respectful service to residents, patients, guests, and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Dietary Manager or Supervisor.
