Job summary

Guardian Dentistry Partners in Alexandria is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dentists, prepare rooms, sterilize equipment, and assist during procedures. The role requires empathy, strong communication, and a willingness to learn in a patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• 2 or more years of Dental Assisting experience preferred.
• Professionalism, high moral standards, and a self-motivated work ethic.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with your co-workers and patients.
• Driven personality to want to strive to be the best in your profession and provide the best care for our patients.

Responsibilities

• Preparing exam rooms, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring equipment is ready for dentists
• Knowledge of mouth anatomy and dental terms
• Understanding crowns, fillings, extractions, root canals and implants
• Handing instruments and anticipating dentists' needs during procedures
• Taking and processing X-rays
• Perform lab tasks as instructed
• Greeting patients and scheduling appointments
• Advising patients on oral hygiene
• Maintaining patient records and assisting with payments
• Delivering post-operative care instructions and oral hygiene guidance
• Handling admin duties to maintain the practice
