Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• EMT Certification and IV Therapy Certification or EMTA/EMTI/Paramedic Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with RN and Physician regarding patient/family observations to assist in treatment and communicates concerns about hazards or errors to the health care team.
• Performs technical tasks (e.g., IV insertion, splinting, wound care) as directed by the RN or physician per clinic policies to provide quality patient care.
• Provides person-centered care with sensitivity and respect for the patient, collaborating with the care team to meet daily goals.
• Accurately documents all tasks, observations, and procedures on the patient record and maintains confidentiality of charts and records.
• Demonstrates effective clinical strategies to ensure patient and associate safety.
• Collaborates with medicine, nursing, and other healthcare professionals regarding the plan of care, follow-up, and evaluation.
