Meridian Senior Living in Saint Albans, VT is seeking a part-time Cook to join our dining services team. You will handle food ordering, meal preparation, and delivery, while maintaining kitchen sanitation and delivering friendly service to residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and state-required training.
• Six months’ prior experience in a food service department preferred.
• Food Handlers Permit as required by State regulations.
• Previous experience working with the elderly.
• Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
• Ability to work as a team member as well as an individual.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors and the public.
• Must meet health requirements and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Order food and manage community dining program.
• Prepare and deliver meals while ensuring nutrition and appealing presentation.
