Job summary

Exton Post Acute and Healthcare Center is seeking a dedicated Cook to join our full-time kitchen team in Exton, PA. You will prepare nutritious meals according to planned menus, follow recipes, and uphold high safety and sanitation standards to support residents’ health and comfort.

Responsibilities include reviewing menus, operating kitchen equipment, and collaborating with the dietary team to meet individual dietary needs and preferences.

Qualifications

• Experience in food preparation or culinary services.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and quality.
• Demonstrated knowledge to meet dietary needs of residents.

Responsibilities

• Review menus, production sheets, and prep guides to determine types and quantities of food to be prepared.
• Prepare meals according to planned menus and standardized recipes in a sanitary manner.
• Utilize substitutes to meet dietary needs and resident preferences.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely (blenders, mixers, fryers, slicers, steamers, etc.).
• Follow standardized recipes and dietary guidelines to ensure consistency and quality.
• Complete tasks in a timely, organized manner to support kitchen operations.
• Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards.
• Collaborate with dietary team to meet resident dietary needs.
