Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Two or more years’ experience in food service role in preparing food for institutions, such as hospital or cafeteria preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans and prepares foods in accordance with facility policies and recipes/menus.
• Maintains accurate temperature logs and stores/refrigerates food safely.
• Sets up steam tables and portions foods for serving.
• Prepares leftovers for proper storage and labeling with date.
• Keeps kitchen areas clean and orderly and assists with inventory and stocking.
