Job summary

Helping Hand is seeking a reliable Bus Driver to transport individuals served to programs, job sites, and community activities in Illinois. You will follow Illinois Rules of the Road, maintain mileage logs, and ensure vehicles are clean and safe to operate.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 1–2 years of driving experience, a Class D license, and CDL/PACE within 90 days of hire. Salary is $25.00–$26.25/hour with up to 6% annual bonus and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must obtain Class C CDL license and PACE certification within 90 days of hire.
• Current Class D driver's license required; PACE certified preferred.
• Experience with I/DD population preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport individuals to programs, job sites, and approved locations.
• Operate vehicles per Illinois Rules of the Road and agency safety guidelines.
• Maintain daily mileage logs and report vehicle concerns or schedule changes.
• Ensure vehicles are clean and in proper working condition.
• Attend required trainings, meetings, and safety programs.
