Job summary

Sweetwater Care in Melrose, MA is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant to provide routine resident care under supervision, following facility policies and procedures. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor residents, and report changes to the Charge Nurse.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in CNA program or licensed.
• Minimum 6 months CNA experience or clinical experience while enrolled in a CNA class.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Able to deal tactfully with residents, family members, and staff.
• Must be in good health and emotionally stable.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per facility policies and nursing care procedures.
• Make resident rounds at start of each shift and every two hours.
• Verify resident identification before care or meals.
• Report missing ID bands to admission coordinator.
• Make beds and maintain clean bedside areas and supply carts.
