Job summary

ALIYA of Highwood in Highwood, Illinois seeks a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our PM shift team. You will support residents with daily living activities, assist with meals and hydration, and help maintain dignity and safety.

Qualifications

• Illinois CNA certification in good standing.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred or required per facility policy.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Must successfully complete all required background checks and pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Serve meals, assist with feeding, and provide hydration and nourishment between meals.
• Assist residents with mobility, including transferring, ambulating, repositioning, and range-of-motion activities.
• Monitor and record vital signs, weights, intake and output, and other assigned observations.
• Respond promptly to resident call lights and requests, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the shift.
• Observe residents for changes in physical or emotional condition and promptly report concerns to the licensed nurse.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident care.
• Promote resident dignity, privacy, and independence while following HIPAA regulations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized resident environment.
• Follow all federal, state, and facility policies, procedures, and infection control standards.
• Attend required in-service training and maintain active CNA certification.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
