Job summary

Westminster Communities of Florida's Life Plan Community in St. Augustine is accepting applications for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Health Center team on a full-time basis.

The CNA will provide routine daily nursing care to residents under supervision, maintaining dignity, safety, and quality of service. Qualified applicants must be a Florida-certified CNA with CPR certification; prior long-term care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a Florida-certified CNA and CPR certified.
• One year of long-term care experience or working with handicapped or developmentally disabled adults preferred.
• Med Tech Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients/residents with Activities of Daily Living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transferring, ambulating, toileting, and other resident needs.
• Ensure beds are made; trash removed; maintain high hygiene in the room.
• Assist residents with meals and feeding, if necessary.
• Take vital signs and report observations and any change in condition to the nurse.
• Practice infection prevention and control measures in compliance with Federal, State and facility requirements.
• Document promptly, accurately and comprehensively in CNA ECS flow-sheet.
• Make routine rounds to ensure safety precautions/equipment are in place and functioning.
• Provide timely incontinent care and frequent repositioning to prevent skin breakdown.
