Job summary

Trinity Hospital seeks a dedicated Nursing Assistant to support patient care during shifts. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write and follow instructions as required.
• CPR (Heart Saver) certification within 6 months of employment.
• Certification as a Nursing Assistant by the State of Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Introduce self and role to patient at start of shift and provide water.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and bathing.
• Respond to call lights and patient requests promptly.
• Provide bed baths, oral care, and grooming as needed.
• Transports, positions and assists with mobility and transfers.
• Take and record vital signs as directed and report abnormal results.
• Communicate with patients, families and healthcare team in a respectful manner.
• Maintain clean, safe unit environment and comply with infection control rules.
