Northern Nevada State Veterans Home is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents in a skilled nursing setting. The role includes assisting with daily activities, vital signs, and care plans, while maintaining safety and dignity for each resident.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in Nevada
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred but not required

Responsabilités

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, ambulation)
• Ensure safety, comfort, and well-being; respond to call lights promptly
• Support independence and residents' care plans
• Measure and document vital signs, intake/output, weights, and health data
• Observe and report changes to licensed nursing staff
• Assist with rehabilitative and restorative activities
• Maintain clean, organized rooms and spaces
• Follow infection control and safety procedures
• Provide end-of-life care with compassion and professionalism
• Collaborate with nurses, dietary staff, therapists, and leadership
• Attend in-services and team meetings
