Job summary

Gulf Coast Village Skilled Nursing in Cape Coral, FL is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for full-time days (7am-7pm). This role offers a meaningful opportunity to care for residents and support a compassionate team within VOANS.

You’ll perform assessments, support plans, and provide skilled nursing tasks under supervision. High school diploma and a state-approved CNA course are required; enrollment in a CNA program is accepted.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• State-approved Nursing Assistant course/certification, or enrollment in approved course per state guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility and accountability for nursing practice per State Nurse Practice Act and home health standards.
• Performs comprehensive assessments of client status (physical, psychological, environmental).
• Develops and follows individualized Plan of Care with data analysis and current findings.
• Provides skilled interventions to achieve realistic client outcomes within a set time frame.
• Reports changes to modify care plan reflecting progress towards goals.
• Demonstrates competency with technical nursing skills per scope of practice.
• Assesses client, family/support system and environment.
• Provides teaching aligned with client needs and environment.
