Job summary

Visiting Angels Baytown is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate home care to seniors in the Southeast Houston area including Baytown and nearby communities. This role offers growth through optional advanced training in dementia or Alzheimer’s care.

As a CNA you will assist with mobility, personal care, meal preparation, transportation, light housekeeping, and companionship. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• Passion to serve others and compassionate nature.
• Excellent emergency response and first aid knowledge.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
