Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to read/write comprehensive English and document observations.
• Must perform basic math.
• Ability to verbally communicate with residents, staff and general public in a manner that is understandable, must be honest, dependable and exhibit a warm, cheerful, caring manner.
• Must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Current CNA Certificate in good standing on file with the Indiana Nursing Assistant Registry.
• One year experience in long-term care or other health care setting desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily hygiene measures including bathing, oral hygiene, skin care, hair and nail care.
• Change bed linens as required.
• Assist residents in feeding and providing oral fluids.
• Take and record vital signs.
• Transport residents using wheelchair, walkers, lifts.
• Maintain good personal hygiene and adhere to uniform requirements.
• Document resident nutrition and fluid intake.
