Job summary

Aventura Rehab & Nursing Center is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Florida team. The CNA will assist patients with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and help with mobility while documenting care in the patient chart.

Requirements include a current CNA certification and a high school diploma or equivalent; prior long-term or acute care experience is preferred. The role emphasizes quality care, teamwork, and timely response to patient needs.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Effective communication with patients and healthcare staff.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Experience in long-term care or acute care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating
• Monitor patients' vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and heart rate
• Administer medications and document all medication administration in the patient's chart
• Keep patient rooms clean and tidy
• Help patients with mobility, including using walkers or wheelchairs, and positioning them in beds or chairs
• Record all care provided to patients accurately and timely
• Report any changes in patient conditions to the healthcare team
• Respond to patient calls in a timely manner
• Perform other duties as assigned by the healthcare team
