Qualifications

• Certified and state tested as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the state employed; certificate must be active, valid, and in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Assist the resident with completing Activities of Daily Living (ADL).
• Respond to residents' call lights to provide maximum comfort, safety, and privacy.
• Transport residents to areas of community by ambulation or wheelchair.
• Report findings to nurse immediately.
• Assist residents on admission, transfer, and discharge.
• Safekeeping of residents’ personal possessions.
• Keep resident rooms neat and safe.
• Follow proper infection control techniques.
• Respect the rights of each resident, particularly privacy and confidentiality.
• Provide restorative care to prevent complications.
• Ensure adequate hydration and nutrition of resident.
