Qualifications

• Annual influenza vaccinations are mandatory for all employees by December 1.
• Completion of the Dependent Adult Abuse course for Iowa Mandatory Reporters within 30 days of employment and every 3 years thereafter.
• Current active Nurse Aide Certificate from Iowa Nurse Aide Registry.
• Sanitation Certification mandatory within 2 months of employment.
• Completion of cross training for household housekeeping, household laundry and dining services and activities essential.
• CPR (Basic Life Support Certification)

Responsibilities

• Provide medical and physical care to residents to meet daily needs.
• Advocate for residents under the supervision of a professional nurse.
• Promote residents' psychosocial well-being through meaningful relationships.
• Plan and facilitate social, recreational, and exercise activities.
• Support household homemaker tasks such as housekeeping and laundry.
