Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our patient care team. Under the supervision of a registered nurse, you will provide direct patient care and perform related clerical and coordination duties to support department operations.

The ideal candidate will hold a Virginia CNA license, be current with CPR/BLS, and demonstrate teamwork, reliability and compassionate patient interaction.

Qualifications

• CNA license issued by the Commonwealth of VA is required.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR is required at hire.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• For CNAs working at Snowden at Fredericksburg: CPI is required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients in daily living activities (mobility, hygiene, feeding).
• Obtains and records vital signs and-related data.
• Communicates patient status and coordinates with licensed professionals.
• Transports patients and assists with admissions/discharges and procedures.
• Maintains room cleanliness and equipment; performs basic clerical/data entry duties.
