Job summary

National Church Residences seeks a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (STNA) to work 7p–7a in our senior living community in Columbus, Ohio. The STNA will report to the Charge Nurse and provide direct, compassionate care to residents, supporting daily activities, hygiene, mobility, meals, and safety, while adhering to facility policies and HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred or currently enrolled in a program to achieve preferred education.
• Two to four years preferred experience.
• Must have good communication, comprehension, and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
• Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and World Wide Web.

Responsibilities

• Performs/assists with all resident direct care needs and comforts of daily living as needed, including lifting, turning, positioning, bathing, dressing, hygiene and grooming.
• Responds to call lights in a timely and professional manner and provides restorative care (ROM, ambulation, bowel/bladder training).
• Assists nurses with vitals, weights, measurements, and documentation; makes beds and maintains cleanliness of resident areas.
• Maintains resident rights and confidentiality; reports changes or concerns to the supervisor on duty.
• Notes and documents resident information accurately in the EMR; adheres to Safety & Compliance policies and infection control standards.
• Provides food service related tasks for residents (meal prep, serving, assist with eating, hydration tracking).
• Maintains cleanliness of resident rooms, interacts with residents with dignity, and participates in restorative nursing programs.
