Job summary

Calvin Community in Des Moines, IA is seeking compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants to join our team for the 10p-6a shift. We provide high-quality care to residents with respect and dignity, and we value professionalism in our nursing staff.

Responsibilities include personal care, vital sign monitoring, medication assistance, and coordinating with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care, along with light housekeeping as needed.

Qualifications

• Current CNA license.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift and assist patients and mobility as needed.
• Ability to follow care plans and adhere to medication schedule.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene assistance
• Monitor residents' vital signs and report any changes to the appropriate staff member
• Assist with medication management and administration, as directed by a healthcare professional
• Communicate with patients and families to provide education and support
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure continuity of treatment
• Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and cleaning
• Other duties as assigned
