Job summary

Holbrook Life is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to administer and document medications for residents in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.

The role requires CMA and CNA certifications in good standing, at least 6 months’ experience, CPR/First Aid, and strong communication skills in English. You will monitor vitals, ensure safety, and support residents’ rights while coordinating with nursing staff.

Qualifications

  • Be a Certified Nurse Aide AND a Certified Medication Aide in good standing with the Georgia CNA/CMA registry.
  • Have at least 6 months of experience passing medications in a personal care home or assisted living community.
  • Be CPR/First Aid-certified per state regulations.
  • Have the knowledge to obtain, record and interpret residents’ vital signs and weights.
  • Read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and record medications for residents as prescribed by physician and Holbrook Life policies.
  • Observe and report symptoms or adverse drug reactions to Wellbeing Nurse or director.
  • Determine and record medication effectiveness as required by regulations.
  • Obtain vital signs during medication administration and document in the chart.
  • Support residents’ rights during self-administration of medications.
  • Monitor medications for accountability from receipt to shift changes.
  • Inspect, clean and monitor equipment and supplies to ensure safety.
  • Respond to residents’ family questions and requests promptly.
  • Follow Universal Precautions and infection control standards.
