Job summary

Midwest Health is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to assist in administering medications as ordered by the physician, under supervision. You will ensure medication accuracy, maintain patient privacy, and follow nursing standards and community policies.

The role requires a valid CMA certification, basic computer skills, and fluency in English. You will document, report, and cooperate with surveys while supporting daily living activities and resident care.

Qualifications

• Must have CMA certification in good standing with the State.
• Basic computer skills required to document care and medications.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Comply with Community policies and procedures.
• Report abuse/neglect to RCC/Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Prepare, administer, and document medications as ordered by the physician.
• Ensure medications are properly labeled, stored, and dated.
• Complete medication charting per policy.
• Observe and document medication administration and refusals.
• Notify RCC/Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse of refusals or adverse reactions.
• Follow procedures for self-administration of medications by residents.
