Homestead Health Center in Wichita, KS seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support a clinical team in a nonprofit long-term care facility. The CMA will provide direct patient care, assist with examinations, document vital signs, and help with administrative tasks to maintain high-quality resident care.

The role requires CMA certification in Kansas, BLS and CPR, and experience in healthcare, preferably geriatric care.

Formación

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in Kansas is required.
• BLS and CPR certifications are required.
• Experience in healthcare, preferably long-term care or geriatric care.
• Proficient with taking vital signs and documenting in medical records.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care protocols.

Responsabilidades

• Assist providers with routine examinations and procedures.
• Measure and record vital signs and document accurately.
• Administer prescribed medications under supervision.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing.
• Prepare residents for exams and tests; ensure comfort and safety.
• Maintain up-to-date electronic health records (EHR).
• Contribute to care plan development and implementation.
• Ensure cleanliness and readiness of medical equipment and supplies.
• Uphold infection control standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support daily clinical operations and other duties as needed.
