Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking a CNA to provide basic supportive care under supervision of an RN or Care Manager. You will collect and report vital signs, assist with patient procedures, and maintain a safe, clean environment in a pediatric hospital setting.

The role requires completion of a fundamentals course, active Ohio CNA certification, and BLS/CPR. Prior hospital patient care experience is preferred, with opportunities for continuing education and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Completion of fundamentals course from an approved nursing program, or equivalent certification or experience.
• One year of patient care experience in a hospital setting within the last three years, or equivalent education or certification.
• Active CNA in the State of Ohio and current BLS/CPR certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Collect, document, and report vital signs and screening information as directed.
• Promote patient safety, assist with procedures, and prepare materials as delegated.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality of patient information.
• Ensure unit cleanliness, stocking, and maintenance of patient areas.
• Perform clerical/administrative tasks as needed and participate in ongoing education.
