Job summary

Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC) seeks a Client Support Representative to be the voice of ACC, delivering world‑class service to clients via phone, email, and text. You will provide information on admissions, adoptions, health, and behavior, while upholding ACC’s mission to end animal homelessness in NYC.

The role requires strong communication, active listening, and the ability to remain calm under pressure while guiding customers through services and resources.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience, preferably call center.
• Experience with computer systems and shelter software.
• Strong communication and written skills.
• Team collaboration with independence when needed.

Responsibilities

• Handle high volumes of inbound/outbound calls, emails, and texts with professional service.
• Provide information about ACC services, admissions, adoption, and care resources.
• Deliver empathetic support during difficult situations with clients and pets.
• Route complex inquiries appropriately and document interactions.
• Maintain thorough follow-ups and accurate records for each case.
