Job summary

SYNERGY HomeCare of Piscataway in Plainfield, New Jersey is seeking a compassionate Child Caregiver to provide one-on-one support for children in a home-based setting. You will implement individualized care plans and assist with daily living activities, helping children reach developmental goals.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or related degree, experience with children with special needs, and CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in early childhood education, social work, or related field preferred.
Experience working with children with special needs.
Basic life support certification (CPR/First Aid) and TB test required.

Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one support to children with developmental disabilities, mental health needs, or complex medical conditions in a home-based setting.
Develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs and goals of each child.
Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
Engage in activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive development, including play therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of care and progress.
Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions and collaboration.
