Job summary
Senior Helpers is seeking a Certified Homemaker-Home Health Aide (CHHA) in New Jersey to assist clients at home with personal care and daily living activities. You will work under nursing supervision, adhere to the care plan, and help maintain client independence.
Applicants must hold a valid NJ CHHA certificate, have strong English communication, and be flexible with hours and locations. Training and ongoing supervision are provided within our supportive home-care team.
Qualifications
- Current, valid CHHA certificate in good standing (NJ Board of Nursing).
- Able to pass written/oral competency exam with at least 70%.
- Demonstrates proficiency in required clinical skills for CHHA.
- Reads/writes in English and follows care plans as directed by RN supervisors.
- Flexible with work hours and location; effectively work with elderly, disabled, and sick clients.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and ADLs as per care plan.
- Monitor vital signs and provide basic nursing support.
- Assist with bathing, grooming, mobility, nutrition and hydration.
- Perform homemaking tasks: meal prep, light housekeeping, shopping.
- Escort clients to appointments with proper approvals and maintain client confidentiality.
