Job summary

United Methodist Communities is seeking a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) for per diem care in New Jersey. Hourly pay ranges from $20 to $30.75 depending on experience, with shifts tailored to patient needs.

You will record vital signs, assist with daily living activities, prepare meals, provide transportation to appointments, and offer companionship as part of compassionate home care. Eligible applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, be 18+, and hold a NJ CHHA certification.

Qualifications

• Record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing, reminders, mobility).
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding; perform light housekeeping.
• Run errands and provide transportation to appointments.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and meaningful social engagement through safe, compassionate care.
• Develop and maintain a supportive, patient-focused care plan.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols during home visits.
